Yay! It’s almost the weekend. Fall is in the air in Los Angeles, finally. It has cooled off a little bit, putting me even more in the festive fall spirit. I cannot wait for Halloween and have been scouring the web to see what I can add to my calendar.

Friday 10/17
MUSIC: Lana Del Rey concert
What: An incredible writer with an airy voice, Lana Del Rey spills out her emotions with songs from albums like Ultraviolence. Come see her and expect to be moved by her performance.

FILM: Front Porch Cinema
What: Kick back and enjoy a night full of film, food, and fun in old-fashioned lawn chairs. This week’s film is Wes Anderson’s star-studded quirky dramatic comedy The Grand Budapest Hotel.

When: Music starts at 6pm, film screens at 7:30pm

FESTIVAL: L.A. Beer Festival
What: Featuring over 150 craft beers, food trucks, and live music, the L.A. Beer Festival will be an afternoon to relax and get into the Oktoberfest mindset.
Where: Los Angeles Center Studios, 450 South Bixel Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017
When: 12pm-4pm
Cost: $40 for general admission and $50 for VIP (an added hour with specialty beers available the first hour), with both tickets including beer samplings. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

FILM: Barnsdall Outdoor Movie Nights
What: Relive your teen years with the “School Nights” fall film series featuring beloved high school movies. Come watch cult horror film Carrie about a teen’s prom turned nightmare on a high resolution screen and enjoy food trucks and a variety of wine and beer.

When: Doors open at 5:30pm. Movie screens at 7:30pm.

FESTIVAL: Pint-Sized Beer Festival
What: Enjoy drinking craft beer from Highland Park Brewing, Golden Road Brewing & Eagle Rock Brewery, and of course Angel City Brewery itself. Added bonus is that Flatiron Truck & TrukQuito food trucks will be there.

When: Two sessions to choose from: 2pm-4pm or 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Cost: $20 ticket includes 8 beer tickets and an official festival commemorative glass.

FESTIVAL: 2nd Annual L.A. Sriracha Festival
What: Experience some of L.A.’s best chefs and restaurants at an all-inclusive, 21+ event sponsored by The Sriracha Cookbook and Food GPS. Try out a wide selection of Sriracha-themed cuisine, local craft beer & cocktails all while listening to a live DJ.

THEATER: Jersey Boys
What: Make it out to the last performance of the award-winning musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
