Countdown this week of celebration towards the Fourth of July with these spectacular events.

Hollywood Boulevard: The 70s

Step back in time with photography by Ave Pildas as he takes you through the glitz and glamour (and the not-so-glamorous) that was the epitome of old Hollywood. Look through snapshots of the Hollywood Walk of Fame and see Los Angeles from the perspective of the eccentric people that have made the city what it is today. As Pildas says, “At that time, people were saying the country was tilted to the West and all the crazies rolled towards California. They stopped just short of the ocean and landed in Hollywood.”

Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE): 6522 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028

When: Wednesday July 1st from 7pm – 10pm

In these parts, locals still eat and live as they did in their native countries. Learn more about the origins of these neighborhoods and the rich history they hold as you wander the streets of this lesser-known part of Los Angeles, led by an informative tour guide.

And at 4pm, the brewery even puts out a “Mystery Cask” beer, so cheers to that too!
