Under the management of Palmer Luckey, Oculus VR is developing a high field of view, low-latency, consumer-priced virtual reality head mounted display. Though it’s a lot to process, the concept is quite simple to understand: virtual-reality gaming.

As a non-techie all the technology jargon behind the Oculus Rift largely confuses me, but as a fan of gaming this news largely excites me. (Finally…the fantasy for many gamers can soon become a reality.) Gaming companies have already partnered with Oculus VR and confirmed the re-release of their games enabling usage of the Oculus Rift, namely Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2.

With an impressive $2.4 million from a Kickstarter campaign, a devoted staff, and noteworthy companies endorsing the Oculus Rift, we can be sure to see some results soon. So, be on the lookout! This may be the next big thing.
