sleep-texting2_5

We’ve all heard of sleep-walking or sleep-talking, but sleep-texting?! Come on, society…

This new epidemic, sleep-talking, is predominantly present among teens. Who would’ve guessed?
I guess that as humans the sound/vibrate of a text has become so deeply engrained within our minds that we automatically answer and respond to them even in our sleep.

According to Elizabeth Dowdell,  a nursing professor at Villanova University, “The phone will beep, they’ll answer the text. They’ll either respond in words or gibberish.” Of course, I’m not the only who can see this “epidemic” going horribly wrong.

All in all, this just sounds crazy to me. Are we really becoming that dependent and attached to technology? Hopefully, this doesn’t become a big deal as time goes on.
