Get to know the diversity of LA as a global design capital with two free events happening this Saturday for LA Design Fest’s closing weekend.

Head down to Chinatown for an old fashioned block party that’ll take place on Chung King Road right under the glow of traditional Chinese lanterns. The alleyway is bustling with nightlife and lined with various art galleries, making it a perfect place for a pop-up design market featuring local crafters and designers.

For a relaxing day spent in an urban oasis, take a trip to Vermont Square Library, where you’ll have the opportunity to join in some hands-on workshops, such as ceramics and woodworking, do some yoga, and view a couple of art exhibits. The Vermont Square Library is LA’s oldest operating library that features an edible garden and open-air library. And what better way to start the weekend off than with live music and food trucks?

LA PRIDE Festival and Parade
Show your LGBT support at LA PRIDE, a festival and parade happening this weekend in West Hollywood.
