A new year, meaning a whole host of new restaurants opening up in Los Angeles. For all of you L.A. foodies out there, that means there is a lot to be excited about. So here we round up the top 10 restaurant openings we are excited for.

1. BierBeisl Imbiss

Bier Beisl Imbiss

The newest restaurant from famed chef Bernhard Mairinger is set to open in the Spring Arcade downtown in by the end of Febuary. Until then we’ll be dreaming of the delicious Austrian street food we’ll be enjoying soon.

2. Plant Food and Wine

The newest raw vegan restaurant from chefs Matthew Kenney and Scott Winegard of M.A.K.E. Along with seasonal raw vegan fare, there will be craft beer, coffee, tea, and some special nonalcoholic “cocktails”. Look out for the opening this spring on Abbott Kinney.

3. Pok Pok LA

A Thai restaurant to rival all others. Slated to open in Chinatown, with a lounge and courtyard seating nonetheless, Pok Pok LA will be bringing us some deliciously authentic Thai cuisine. Set to open this spring, this one’s not to be missed.

4. Sidecar Doughnuts

Famous Costa-Mesa based donut shop, Sidecar Donuts, will be expanding to Santa Monica in April. All their donuts are made fresh from scratch daily (check out that bacon donut, yum!). They even offer daily gluten-free & vegan options. Score!

5. Belcampo Farm Kitchen

The meat company will be reopening its doors in Santa Monica this year. What to expect: sustainable, great tasting meat.

6. Little Sister

Riding the wake of his popular restaurant in Manhattan Beach, chef Tin Vuong will be bringing Little Sister to downtown L.A. The food is best described as Euro-Asian fusion, the perfect combo of East meets West. Set to open in March.

7. Odys + Penelope

Odys & Penelope

The brains behind Hatfield’s and Sycamore Kitchen, Quinn and Karen Hatfield, will be opening their third restaurant, Odys + Penelope. Best described as a “modern grill”, so expect lots of well-cooked meats, fish, and vegetables. Set to open mid-January.

8. Ramen Champ

Just what it sounds like, a restaurant fully devoted to popular Tokyo-style ramen. Opening in Chinatown very soon, this restaurant features three types of ramen. A “must-try”.
